Overview of the role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic SEO Team Lead to spearhead our organic growth initiatives. As SQUATWOLF continues to evolve its digital presence—including transitioning to a new in-house-built website—this role is critical in shaping a solid SEO foundation. The ideal candidate is well-versed in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, and preferably understands how SEO aligns with Google Ads and overall search marketing efforts.

What you will be expected to perform:

SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Conduct regular SEO audits, optimizing metadata, internal linking, and content structure.

  • Track industry trends, algorithm updates, and competitor movements to stay ahead.

  • Drive non-branded organic traffic and improve keyword rankings in the gym/training niche.

Technical SEO

  • Ensure new website launch meets best SEO practices (architecture, crawlability, Core Web Vitals).

  • Identify and resolve issues like broken links, redirects, and schema inconsistencies.

  • Collaborate with developers for structured data, sitemaps, robots.txt, and hreflang tag implementation.

  • Optimize for page speed, mobile usability, and indexing.


On-Page & Content Optimization

  • Guide keyword research and topic clustering.

  • Work with content teams to optimize user experience and content relevance.

  • Perform content gap analysis and update underperforming pages.

  • Create internal linking strategies to enhance authority and ranking.

Off-Page SEO & Link Building

  • Develop white-hat link-building campaigns.

  • Identify backlink opportunities and oversee outreach and acquisition.

  • Monitor link profile health and manage disavow processes.

Analytics, Reporting & CRO

  • Use tools like GA, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog to analyze performance.

  • Track KPIs: organic traffic, keyword ranks, CTRs, and conversions.

  • Execute A/B testing for SEO-driven landing pages to enhance conversions.

Google Ads & Paid Search Synergy (Preferred)

  • Align SEO strategies with paid search campaigns.

  • Contribute to an integrated search approach by understanding SEO-PPC dynamics

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a proven track record of success.

  • Strong command of technical SEO and website optimization strategies.

  • Proficient in SEO tools: Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.

  • Solid understanding of Google algorithm updates, Core Web Vitals, and E-E-A-T.

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with developers, UX, and content teams.

  • Analytical thinker who can translate data into meaningful strategy.

  • Experience in eCommerce SEO is highly desirable.

  • Bonus: Familiarity with Google Ads and its interplay with SEO.
