Overview of the role:

You see the world in frames and transitions. You can turn a hallway conversation into a compelling reel, and a whiteboard session into a moment worth sharing. Whether it's highlighting our portfolio wins, documenting founder journeys, or capturing the energy at blockchain summits and venture labs — your content will be how the world remembers us.

 

 

What you will be expected to perform:

  • Be Our Lens: Capture high-quality video and photo content during founder interactions, pitch days, venture announcements, and major internal & external events.

  • Own the Edit: Create compelling video edits for social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

  • Craft Visual Narratives: Design and deliver short-form content that reflects the bold, fast-paced, and founder-first culture at Disrupt.com.

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Lead trend research, format testing, and editing innovations to keep our content strategy sharp and adaptive across platforms.

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Brand, Product, Investment, and People teams to translate business milestones into engaging social storytelling.

  • Content Ownership: From concept to camera to cloud — you’ll run end-to-end content creation including shoot planning, lighting, editing, publishing-ready assets, monitoring progress & deploying tactics to supprort content visibiity & likability .

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film Production, Communication Design, Digital Marketing, or a related creative field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

  • Experience:

3–5 years of hands-on content creation experience across video, photography, and editing — ideally in fast-paced environments like:

  • Venture-backed startups
  • Creative or branding agencies
  • Content hubs or media studios
  • Tech-focused companies with strong storytelling brands
  • Proven experience in short-form video production, especially for LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • A portfolio that showcases brand storytelling, social media edits, and camera work in real-world settings (events, founder shoots, product reveals, or lifestyle content).

Skills & Tools:

  • Mastery in editing tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Strong camera and lighting fundamentals (DSLRs, mirrorless systems, mobile rigging)
  • Creative thinking in low-to-mid-budget productions (DIY shoots, UGC-style, startup-friendly content hacks)

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in tech, Web 3.0, or AI-driven brands
  • Past work featuring founders, thought leaders, or startup culture
  • Motion graphics, basic animation, or typography skills
  • Familiarity with brand systems, content calendars, and agile marketing cycles

You should be:

  • Creative Builder: You know how to tell startup stories with minimal setup but maximum impact.

  • Production Pro: Skilled in professional videography and photography with knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio capture.

  • Editing Specialist: Confident in Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, and Adobe Creative Suite to deliver fast and polished content.

  • Platform Native: You understand what performs on LinkedIn vs Instagram vs TikTok — and how to tailor hooks, cuts, and formats to each.

  • Culture-Driven: You’re energized by the startup ecosystem, Web3, emerging tech, and the stories of founders shaping the future.

  • Detail-Oriented Executor: You move fast, think strategically, and manage shoots and deadlines with zero micromanagement.

Dimensions and Supplementary Information:

  • 3+ years in content creation with a strong portfolio of social-first videos and photo content.

  • Deep experience with editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, After Effects).

  • Understanding of social media trends, formats, and hooks that drive engagement.

  • Comfortable working on-site in Dubai and traveling for events if needed.

  • Bonus: Experience creating tech/startup founder-focused content or working in journalism or VC environment.
